People are aware of foot care specialists and clinics specializing in foot care. Most are familiar with the terms Podiatrist and Pedorthist. The term Chiropodist is less well known. Many confuse it with the close term of Chiropractor.

What is a Chiropodist?

Chiropodists are registered health care professionals. A Chiropodists focuses on providing specialized foot and nail care. Like Physiotherapists, being Registered means the professional is held accountable to their College. This is meant to protect the public, but in reality helps the profession of Chiropody by holding the professional accountable to higher standards. Chiropodists are licensed under the Chiropody Act with the College of Chiropodists of Ontario.

Oakville Chiropodist Arien is  able to provide routine foot and toenail care and is licensed to provide nail surgery, local anesthesia, and injections to the foot.
