Lisa started her journey to a career as a Physiotherapist by doing her Honour’s in Kinesiology at McMaster University where she graduated with highest honours. At McMaster Lisa played varsity softball and later worked as a Team Therapist with the varsity wrestling and women’s soccer teams. Lisa graduated with her Master’s in Physical Therapy from Queen’s University in Kingston. As an FCAMPT Physio, Lisa has taken multiple continuing education courses and has successfully challenged the Advanced Manual Therapy Exam through the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. She is also an Acupuncture provider after taking courses through AFCI.
Oakville Physio Lisa enjoys treating a variety of patients and has experience treating those of all ages with a multitude of issue including neck and back pain, joint strains and sprains, TMJ disorders, arthritis, pre and post surgical patients, patients after fractures etc. Lisa has worked as a Physiotherapist in Sports Medicine Clinics, Physiotherapy Clinics and Gyms in Oakville, Milton and Mississauga.
As a Physio, Lisa believes in providing thorough assessment and treatment of individuals that includes manual (hands-on) therapy, education and exercise as appropriate to ensure complete care. She also enjoys working on a multidisciplinary team as each specialty (Physio, Chiropody and Massage Therapy) has something unique to offer. Lisa was excited to volunteer as a Physiotherapist during the Toronto 2015 Pan Am Games working with the Soccer Teams.
Lisa has most recently expanded her knowledge and practice base through taking a 200 hour yoga teachers training and a restorative yoga course. Lisa loves integrating yoga as a treatment technique in her Physiotherapy practice.
