One of the reasons we like being in Oakville so much is the opportunity to be active and enjoy the outdoors in different facets. There are an increasing amount of ways to enjoy an active lifestyle in Oakville and the surrounding regions of Burlington, Milton and Halton! This weekend in Oakville amongt many things, there is the Oakville Half Marathon (which also offers a 10k, student relay and 2k fun run at Coronation Park) We don’t recommend going into a race like this, especially distances over 5km, without some training and preparation in order to prevent injury. Signing up in advance and training with a plan / intention is important. This coming weekend there is also a (free) guided trail walk / Guided Hike at Heritage Way Park. Something like this is an excellent way to be active as a family. Have a great weekend everyone!
