Just West of the New Oakville Hospital, Palermo Professional Centre is off to the races! The Grand Opening of the building will take place Friday 26th of September 2014, Mayor Rob Burton will officially cut the ribbon at 1:00pm. Everyone in the community is invited for the Grand Opening starting at 12:00pm for a light lunch and refreshments and a chance to meet some of the buildings tenants. The building continues to have finishing touches put on it as well as new continue to be completed. The first floor is almost up and running completely. We met Dentists Dr. Saggar and Dr. D’Angelo from Reflections Dental who have a beautiful office space that will make your visit feel like you’re in a spa. They shared some sweet treats from Hotti Biscotti’s that we couldn’t stop munching on, but don’t worry we made sure to brush and floss! The Palermo Medical Centre and Walk-in clinic across from Palermo Guardian Pharmacy has convenient hours and friendly staff.
The Pharmacists, Olivia and Nancy are knowledgeable and helpful. We will be popping in to the Pharmacy once flu shots are available. They are able to give flu shots, provide online refills for prescriptions, and do some compounding. They also have a large home health care selection in the Pharmacy including bracing. Dynacare has now opened also. It is a hidden gem right now with short wait times and awesome nurses. The Wentworth Halton X-Ray and Ultrasound is also located on the first floor and will be open for business Monday September 18, 2014. We’re patiently looking forward to having Tria Bakery and Cafe open, down the hall from the soon to open Envision, the Optometrists, which will be nice to pop in to grab a quick breakfast, lunch and of course Coffee! In addition to the first floor, there’s been a lot going on upstairs! Chorus Speech and Hearing Centre will be able to provide hearing and speech services for patients of all ages from children to seniors. They also will be open soon to provide audiology services as well as speech language pathology. Dr. Dhillon, family physician is now open and taking patients – no appointment is necessary. Dr. Surbey is located on the 3rd floor in Suite 350 and also accepting new patients. The Therapy Centre on the third floor offers Psychological Services such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT). Dr. Adel Ibrahim is also now open on the fourth floor (Suite 450). He is also accepting new patients as well as complicated patients. This building is the place to be for people and families looking for family doctors who are accepting patients.
