March Madness!!!

March break ideas from Oakville physio clinic

It’s March break here in Oakville Ontario. We can feel it based on how our schedules have altered from the norm. We have been seeing some of our patients involved in the education system earlier in the day, as well as some of our school-aged patients. We also know many of you are away on a well-deserved vacation!

If you are in Oakville over the March break there is lots to do, even if the kids are at camp or in a program during the day.

Get a Massage

This is a great time to treat yourself. If you need a little time to yourself, or still have some aches and pains from all of the shovelling you’ve done over the winter, this is a great time! It may also be a nice treat for your youth or adolescent child. We treat many dancers, hockey players, soccer players, swimmers, basketball players etc. if your child trains and practices multiple times a week, a massage session with a registered massage therapist is an excellent way to aid in recovery.

Go to a Yoga Class

Many yoga studios (such as Be Yoga) offer youth classes at the same time as an adult one, or even fam jam sessions that can include everyone. There is usually a drop in fee but if you love it you can always purchase class passes.

Check out a Local Museum

Some of the smaller museums in the surrounding cities and towns have special March Break events. For example the Bradley Museum hosts some fun (and delicious) events that include pancakes and maple syrup. Yum!

Get Active!

In addition to Yoga, there are many drop in activities you ca participate in. We encourage participation for the whole family! What a great way to get active together and bond. We know it’s tempting to sit and have a coffee and supervise, but you may be surprised how much fun everyone has. We recommend skating at one of Oakville’s many rinks, family or fun swims at the community centres or simply going for a (sloppy) walk or hike.
